Check out this 6-minute interview about one of Gibson's most iconic acoustic guitars and its left-handed availability, with David Gonzalez playing a sunburst Gibson acoustic in a shop.

It's an in-store interview — Omar Ibarra talking with David Gonzalez, a customer of 20 years, about two left-handed Gibson J-200 acoustics the shop had in stock: a vintage sunburst and a limited-edition white one.

The guitars (0:13–1:26)
Both men land on the sunburst. It has flame maple back and sides, a spruce top, the traditional mustache bridge, and ivoroid binding. David says its mid-range really pops and it has a warmth he could strum all day — if he had the money, he'd buy it before anyone else got the chance.

How the shop buys lefties (1:26–2:23)
Omar explains the shop turns away subpar left-handed stock — they once rejected a plain-top J-200 with no flame because customers want the figured wood — and they ask Gibson for the best examples.

David as a customer (2:31–3:11)
He's bought dozens of guitars from you and Omar over 20 years, starting with a Gibson SG Special at age 11. He praises the unhurried service and the deals, and says he'd buy a lefty there before anywhere else.

The lefty market (3:18–3:50)
Only about 10% of people are left-handed, so manufacturers do very limited runs — but the good ones come to Southpaw, and the shop gets first dibs. David says he's only ever seen right-handed J-200s and suspects the lefty may be the only one in existence.

The tone (3:58–4:36)
Maple guitars usually sound bright and tinny, but the J-200 brings mid-range, projection, and richness — that's the Gibson sound they're both describing. The video closes with music (4:49–5:57).
