Key Features
This is part of the popular GS Mini series — a compact, travel-friendly acoustic guitar known for its surprisingly big, bold tone despite the smaller body.
• Body Shape: Scaled-down Grand Symphony (GS) with an arched back for added strength and projection.
• Top Wood: Solid wood (typically spruce or similar in MLB editions for clarity and volume).
• Back/Sides: Layered sapele or comparable for durability and balanced tone.
• Neck: Tropical mahogany with a comfortable, slim Taylor profile (1-11/16” nut width) and ebony fretboard.
• Scale Length: 23.5” (shorter than full-size, making it easy to play, especially for travel or smaller hands).
• Electronics: None (acoustic-only model in the MLB series).
• Branding: Features Houston Astros colors (navy, orange), logos, and custom aesthetics to show team pride.
• Accessories: Includes a structured gig bag.
• Price Range: Around $699 USD (based on similar MLB GS Mini models).
The GS Mini series in general is praised for punching above its size with rich, full sound — often described as a “sonic cannon” in a portable package. It’s ideal for home playing, travel, campfires, or as a couch guitar, and appeals to beginners and pros alike. Originally $799
